You may know RISE for Jupyter, which is a popular way to turn Jupyter notebooks into slides for a presentation. I think something similar would be nice for Datalore too. Notebooks are usually often used to communicate things. Features to hide the boring stuff would be great.
I think the distraction free mode is actually a great start. I think usually you don’t really need slides as done with RISE. There are just two things missing in Datalore:
- the option to hide certain cells, maybe making them collapsible in a permanent way somehow
- scrolling to the next cell, but showing a white gap below before displaying the next one, so people don’t get distracted from the next cells
Not sure if the former has security implications, because invisible code is executed magically.
